Kanwardeep serves as the co-Head of the Global Markets Risk team and deputy CRO for the EMEA region. Kanwardeep joined Bank of America from Swiss Re where he was the CRO for Asset Management and the Group Head of Financial Risk Management. At Swiss Re, Kanwardeep was also the Reinsurance CRO for EMEA and the CRO for Swiss Re Europe. He was a management participant on two group board committees. Prior to that, he worked at Bear Stearns where he had a number of positions leading to the roles of CRO for Europe & Asia and Global Head of Market Risk. This was preceded by a period working in UK regulation for The Securities & Futures Authority. Kanwardeep holds a degree in Physics from Oxford University and a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Cambridge University.
